Wee People Cover (SW, Kindle)Today Greta Burroughs is stopping by on my blog. Her book, Gerald and the Wee People, is only 99cents for a limited time so don’t forget to grab a copy of it!

Greta, describe yourself in one word

Positive

What super power would you like to have?

Healing

What is the title of your new release?

“House on Bo-Kay Lane” book two in the Wee People series.

What compelled you to write this book?

The idea came to me and wouldn’t leave me alone!

Do you have any books in the works?

I have three started right now but am having a hard time getting into them. They aren’t talking to me yet.

When you read, what is your favorite genre?

Fantasy

Do you have any hobbies? What do you like to do in your free time?

We have a couple of wonderful dogs. I love to spend time spoiling them. To get away during our free time, my husband and I take long leisurely rides around the countryside on our motorcycle.

Do you have any online sites where people can read more about your books?

Folks can read descriptions and excerpts on my website http://booksbygretaburrough.weebly.com

When was the last time you helped someone that was desperately in need? What did you do? Was this person grateful? When was the last time you helped someone? I mean really helped someone. What did you do for this person? Were they grateful or did they resent it?

Over the past few months, we have helped a family that would have lost their home without our help. They needed help with rent, gas, medicines and such. We did it out of love because it was our kids. Also it was a pay-it-back deal to my parents because they did the same for us years ago. Yes, it is appreciated in both cases.

Who is your favorite character from your book and why?

Alyson from the Wee People books. She’s a little like me – a goofball that means well but not always successful. Plus, she was named for my mother.

Give a one sentence synopsis of your novel:

Two boys fall into a strange new world and discover they can accomplish the impossible with a little help from their friends.

greta burroughsBio:

Greta Burroughs loves to read. No matter where she is, there is always a book close at hand. Her love of reading began at an early age and blossomed over time to include many different genres, her favorite now being fantasy.

As a preschool and elementary school teacher, Greta tried to instill the joy of reading in the children she worked with. Books were an important part of her classroom and story time was the highlight of the day.

It has been a while since Greta was in a classroom but she had lots of experience in reading to children of various ages and remembers what they enjoyed listening to. She tries to incorporate that knowledge into her work as an author and believes it makes her a better writer of children’s and young adult books.

She now resides in SC with her husband, Robert and three dogs. Greta has six books published at the present time; three children’s books in the Patchwork Dog and Calico Cat series, two MG/YA fantasy entitled Gerald and the Wee People and House on Bo-Kay Lane, and a nonfiction account of her experiences with an autoimmune blood disorder called ITP – Heartaches and Miracles. About jenniferloiske

Jennifer Loiske lives in Finland in Naantali, which is a small sunny town on the southwest coast. She is a pre-school teacher by profession but she stayed at home when her youngest daughter suffered brain fever, which developed severe epilepsy in 2004. She is a workaholic Teen/Young Adult author, who loves dark fantasy, teen movies, chips and candies and warm sunny days. She’s also very keen on charity work and a big part of her royalties goes to the charity; mainly to help families with epileptic children but also to the epilepsy units in the hospitals. As a huge fan of dark novels Jennifer's bookshelf is full of books from L.J. Smith, Alyson Noel, Stephanie Meyer, Chloe Neill, Michelle Rowen, Jennifer L. Armentrout, Amanda Hocking and Lauren Kate. She’s also a huge fan of music from Evanescence, Linkin Park, Within Temptation, OneRepublic and Disturbed. But her hunger for music is endless and depend on what mood she’s in or what kind of book she’s working on. She can be pretty much an omnivore when it comes to music.
