Who could say no to Arthurian men! They were brave, courageous, noble, men of honor. They didn’t hesitate to protect a lady and danger was their middle name. So I asked C.N. Lesley who is her favorite and here’s what she said:
Kai. He has the casual violence his father was good at, along with the attitude, and the fey sense but is not vain or arrogant, despite his good looks and superior abilities. He has his mother’s nurturing ways and a huge sense of fun and loyalty. Kai would be a great companion in the wilderness as he understands how to live in it. He is also very used to working with others and can command leadership in his own right.
If you don’t know who Kai is, here’s a short introduction:
Sir Kay, also known as Cai, Kai, Kei or Cei was King Arthur’s foster brother and one of the first Knights of the Round Table. He was one of Arthur’s best warriors. The man in the picture is Peter Mooney playing Sir Kay in the TV- series Camelot.
In return C.N. Lesley asked about my favorite…well, it’s easy. Merlin. But not the kind of Merlin you’d think of. My Merlin is much darker. Dangerous and a bit evil… If you don’t know who Merlin is…well, he is so legendary, that I don’t even know where to begin… Merlin is the wizard, the powerful sorcerer in Arthurian legend. He was a supernatural creature, half human, half something else, who had enormous powers and abilities.
This gorgeous man on the left is Joseph Fiennes (Merlin), also from the TV-series Camelot, which, by the way, just jumped on my To-Be-Watched list!
There were many that would have qualified to be our dates, but a girl can only handle one legendary man at the time 🙂 But just in case you’re curious…here are some of the names on the ‘maybe’ list: Arthur, Lancelot, Mordred, Tristan…
Anyways, we all know what is the best way to a man’s heart…a good food! So C.N. created a contest for you all! Answer on the comment section or email me: jenniferloiske(at)gmail(dot)com
Random.org will pick up two winners who will get…nope…not gonna say it! It’s a surprise, but I promise you’ll like it!
Ready…GO!
Imagine one person going on a long journey in the wilderness by foot. There are no camp stoves, lighters, or matches, only a flint and striker. No guns or crossbows, poison or lasers. There is a stream and hook and line for fishing, rope to make snares, a sharp knife, a cooking pot and a small axe. Supplies include beef jerky, flour, salt and coffee/tea. There is plenty of game around. Describe a realistic meal that can be made from things caught or to hand.
