I had the pleasure of speed-interviewing her on one sunny afternoon. I hope you’re ready! Nancy, do you believe in destiny?
Only what you make and happen to fall heir to.
If you were a supernatural creature what would you be and what would your super power be?
Do you have any weird writing habits? Perhaps something you always have to do before starting to write or a secret vice?
No weird habits, I just sit down and write.
What do you do in your spare time?
I have little spare time, but what I have I usually read or watch PBS.
Your favorite recipe?
I don’t cook.
Your favorite person?
My best friend, Susie.
If you could go back in time, what would you say to your younger version?
Pay attention to the future choices you will make.
Could you give us a one sentence synopsis of your book?
My short story deals with memory and how it influences choices made by my characters.
Do you have any words of wisdom for the other writers?
Write, write, write, and write some more.
I have many, but this one sprang to mind:
Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.
I love…the cosmos
Favorite person? Susie
Favorite creature? Cats
Night or day? Night
Cat or dog? See above…cats
I believe…in imagination
OMG! That was fast! I know how busy an author’s schedule can be so thank you, Nancy, for stopping by and giving us some of your precious writing time!
