Congratulations to my dear friend, Marie Godley, for her debut YA novel, Janalya!
Readers, if you like YA paranormal fantasy, you might wanna check out Marie’s book!
Marie is here today, and wanted to tell you a bit of her new novel. Marie, the stage is yours!
I’m excited because my first YA book, Janalya, is finally out. Jennifer has kindly let me take over her blog (probably to shut me up for 5mins) so that I could tell you about it. – Thank you Jen.
Janalya is an air elemental, taken from her family as a youngster to live and train with other elementals, but as their numbers have declined she has been sent out to search for others like herself. Years later, and she is still searching.
Growing up at the same time is Katsuo. He is different, a Shatara, but being a shape shifting panther comes with its own difficulties, and their numbers too are in decline. Katsuo leaves his village to run with a small pack, led by Jarmil, who thinks he’s greater than anyone else because he is Shatara.
It seems that fate has thrown the strong, lonely elemental and the moody, powerful panther together, yet they are unsure about pursuing a friendship when their cultures tell them that they should be enemies.
Find out what happens to them! Janalya is now available on kindle!
Blurb:
Janalya is an air elemental, searching for others of her kind.
Katsuo is Shatara, a shape-shifting panther.
History decrees that they are enemies, but fate seems to be handing them different roles. What is Janalya’s true destiny, and is it more complex than even she knew?

Marie Godley resides in Christchurch, Dorset with her family. Luckily enough to live in a town with historical buildings to roam around, as well as having the sea and the New Forest National Park nearby, she has plenty to do when taking a break from writing.
Thank you, Marie! I wish you all the best with your writing path. And again, I’m so, so happy for you!!!
Cheers,
Jen x
