Lazy Sunday with Ren

860b20b583db41a5350123937f174fb2What could be a better way to spend a Sunday than having a breakfast date with a hottie? Truth be told, my Sunday hottie is a fictional one, but still…girl can always dream 😉 I guess at this point it’s not a surprise to anyone that my date is one of Jennifer L. Armentrout’s boys. Again. This one is from Wicked,  which is a first part of Jennifer L. Armentrout’s Wicked Trilogy.

Okay… Imagine New Orleans, the beat of the city where parties never end, the nights are hot and the mornings…well, sometimes even hotter… then imagine a young man, six feet and three inches, forest-green eyes and a smile that can rock your socks off anytime…Yes, he’s a man with a pockets full of secrets, yet someone you’d want on your side if things went south…and even if they didn’t…swoooooon…

Jennifer L. Armentrout has hit the jackpot again with creatures you’ve never seen before. Her characters are unbelievably interesting, the plot hooking from the first sentence…I know, I know, you’re probably full of my praises about this author but there’s simply just something in her stories that rubs me the right way and makes me wolf down the entire book in one sitting.

I know you wanna hear more, so here’s a blurb of this exciting New Adult Paranormal story. Yes, new adult or even adult as some of the hot scenes are described pretty detailedly…

22895264Things are about to get Wicked in New Orleans.

Twenty-two year old Ivy Morgan isn’t your average college student. She, and others like her, know humans aren’t the only thing trolling the French Quarter for fun… and for food. Her duty to the Order is her life. After all, four years ago, she lost everything at the hands of the creatures she’d sworn to hunt, tearing her world and her heart apart.

Ren Owens is the last person Ivy expected to enter her rigidly controlled life. He’s six feet and three inches of temptation and swoon-inducing charm. With forest-green eyes and a smile that’s surely left a stream of broken hearts in its wake, he has an uncanny, almost unnatural ability to make her yearn for everything he has to offer. But letting him in is as dangerous as hunting the cold-blooded killers stalking the streets. Losing the boy she loved once before had nearly destroyed her, but the sparking tension that grows between them becomes impossible for Ivy to deny. Deep down, she wants… she needs more than what her duty demands of her, what her past has shaped for her.

But as Ivy grows closer to Ren, she realizes she’s not the only one carrying secrets that could shatter the frail bond between them. There’s something he’s not telling her, and one thing is for certain. She’s no longer sure what is more dangerous to her—the ancient beings threatening to take over the town or the man demanding to lay claim to her heart and her soul.

Oh, and I have no idea who the guy in the pic above is (please, share if you do!) but he’s very much like I pictured Ren!

Cheers,

Jen x

P.S. If by any chance Jennifer L. Armentrout happens to read this post…please, please, release the second part soon! I can’t wait any longer!

About jenniferloiske

Jennifer Loiske lives in Finland in Naantali, which is a small sunny town on the southwest coast. She is a pre-school teacher by profession but she stayed at home when her youngest daughter suffered brain fever, which developed severe epilepsy in 2004. She is a workaholic Teen/Young Adult author, who loves dark fantasy, teen movies, chips and candies and warm sunny days. She’s also very keen on charity work and a big part of her royalties goes to the charity; mainly to help families with epileptic children but also to the epilepsy units in the hospitals. As a huge fan of dark novels Jennifer's bookshelf is full of books from L.J. Smith, Alyson Noel, Stephanie Meyer, Chloe Neill, Michelle Rowen, Jennifer L. Armentrout, Amanda Hocking and Lauren Kate. She’s also a huge fan of music from Evanescence, Linkin Park, Within Temptation, OneRepublic and Disturbed. But her hunger for music is endless and depend on what mood she’s in or what kind of book she’s working on. She can be pretty much an omnivore when it comes to music.
